Repossession fears as more people struggle with mortgage payments

It is feared that the number of people facing repossession orders because they cannot keep up with mortgage payments is set to continue to climb. Orders made by courts in England and Wales have rose 17% in the first quarter of 2008 and there is no sign of it decreasing.
 
Is this due to people living beyond their means or are people being too ambitious when getting on the property ladder?
 
Two harsh comments but this is the reality we face.
 
The crux of the situation is that people must have an income to support family living and in that mortgage payments.
